The idea for the time tracking app came when several of our team members were fed up with having to keep track of our projects and hours in multiple places including JIRA, Google Calendar, and our timesheet/billing application.
We created a concept for a time tracking app where the user could click-and-drag chunks of daily calendar time and assign a tag to it, associate that tag to a project entry in our timesheet as well JIRA. This would eliminate the need to create separate entries in multiple applications and would allow the user to reuse the tag when billing time to an identical task. I created an interactive prototype that illustrated some of the interactions and visual styles for our team.
